Always learning,
always improving

I’m Dan, a UX researcher currently based in the Albany, NY area. Though I grew up in upstate NY, I am a newcomer to this region. In the past I have worked in academic research, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to execute grant-funded projects in the field of public health that aim to have a large impact on underserved communities. I also have 25 years of experience as a musician and composer, and have recently taken up game design as a hobby.

Most recently, I served as a Research Project Manager at the Center for Behavioral Science Research Lab at Boston University. There I conducted over 20 usability tests with VR technology and conducted over 30 interviews with stakeholders in a campaign to help adolescents quit vaping. I ran the VR and mobile app health intervention sessions and developed mixed-methods analyses for data interpretation.

At my core, I am a curious person who excels at both leading and working with teams where each individual brings their own strengths. I advocate for the human using the product, analyzing the hard data to bring concrete results.
